Based on this information, if we determine you are a food industry professional or at least a qualified entry-level candidate, we will send an email request asking you to fill out a more detailed Confidential Profile. We will use this information to help match you to opportunities.

What happens next? We routinely contact client companies throughout the industry to know which jobs are open. And, of course, we actively try to match candidates to the jobs. We also regularly broadcast a summary of PoultryJobs candidates by fax and email to our client contacts at their various offices and facilities across the country. In this way, we are constantly giving client companies a heads-up on PoultryJobs and our proven industry professionals or entry-level candidates who are open to opportunities.

What makes a good candidate? Experience, education & training, accomplishments - of course. And a profile/resume that shows strong specific skills and product experience, and a fairly stable work history (always a judgment call when you've moved around a lot.) But you also have to be a motivated candidate - open to opportunities and challenges, committed to your profession, reasonable in your salary requirements, and flexible in your relocation choices. (The narrower your relocation requirements, the less likely we can help you. If you cannot relocate at all, you should consider submitting your resume directly to nearby facilities.)

How are we different from "recruiters"? Unlike conventional recruiters who typically have one or two clients in an industry (and basically raid their client's competition for talent), we are a website open to all candidates and companies. Because you come to us, our costs are lower and our fees are significantly less that conventional recruiters, so client companies much prefer to hire candidates through us! And, because our fees are less, companies will post jobs with us that they will not with conventional recruiters.
